List of modules for MBA studies

  1. МB201 – Research Methodology

This module deals with the critical evaluation of modern scientific research concepts, techniques, strategies and theories so that can be applicable to their researches. The student is required to apply personal adopted research skills in numerous situations and scientific contexts.

  1. МB202 – Business Modeling

The model develops the understanding of model-based support systems that are needed and can be utilized in managerial decision processes. Different models for the application of modelling and validation techniques are evaluated. The model-based DSS using Excel, Crystal Ball, @Risk and other software packages are implemented.

  1. МB203 – Management of the Informational Systems

The module centres on the need of the students to develop an understanding of concepts and the practice of the information systems. They are further able to provide an understanding of the technological environment and develop an identification of the strategic role of the informational systems.

  1. МB207 – Organizational Theory and Development

The students learn how to differentiate between micro and macro examination/analysis of organizations and the roles of top managers, and also between the various types of organizational structures and patterns. Additionally, the students develop their knowledge as of how to appraise the external forces impacting organization resources and development and evaluate the organization from a management point of view

  1. МB212 – Multinational Business

The module offers the historical analysis of the political, social, and economic and other configurations that support cross-border trade. Students are able to understand the nature of the multinational firm as an institutional structure for the conduct of cross-border trade and investment and evaluate the different modes of engagement with international markets

  1. МB220 – Master Thesis

The student is prepared to identify a research topic and formulate a research question, conduct a thorough literature review and present a comprehensive study in accordance with the scientific practices pertaining to the methods chosen. Eventually he should be able to produce a well-argued empirical, theoretical, and/or methodological contribution to the chosen research field and be able to provide practical implications that may form the ground for any future research.

  1. МB204 – International Trade and Finance

The student should be able to differ and comprehend principles of trading on the international level. He should also learn how to critically evaluate techniques and technologies of international trade and finance. The module also deals with the analyses of the management and principles of conducting of activities in international trade and finance.

  1. МB205 – Economics of Industry

To goal of this module is to prepare students understand oligopoly theories, to draw conclusions from the previous empirical studies on structure-conduct-performance relationship and to debate over interpretation and specification. They will also be able to discuss and examine market and company structure, mergers and joint ventures.

  1. МB206 – Project Management

The module allows students to draw conclusions from examination of various projects, debate over project planning, analyse project budgeting, schedule and execution and discuss monitoring and controlling of projects. Eventually they will examine project management tools.

  1. МB208 – Global Marketing

The module will make an overview to the students as of how to recognize cultural differences in various global regions and their effect on the conduct of international business and to be able to analyze these cultural differences in terms of opportunities and inherent risk in conducting marketing activities and in segmenting global markets.

  1. МB209 – Financial Planning

The module will focus on the methodology that will enable students to differ financial planning and personal finance and to appropriate implementation of this discipline in financial industry frames. Students will also understand principles of personal finances and the planning necessary to critically evaluate risks that exist in financial industry sector.

  1. МB210 – Corporate Communication

The basic focus of this module will be to identify key functions of organizational communication departments within a corporation; to identify the design of a corporate communication strategic planning model and to recognise the special communicational functions, including the government, the investors, and the consumer relations.

  1. МB211 – Sales Manager

The essence of this module is to make students be aware of what Sales Management is; to plan the sales team’s efforts ; to staff the sales team with great sellers; to train the sales team and to describe the process of directing the sales team.

  1. МB213 – Leadership and Team Work

The students will be able to differentiate between management and leadership. The focus is placed on the methods that will effectively direct the individual towards the collective-team work. The most effective ways to attain proficiency in the art and practice of leadership and teamwork will be assessed. In addition, the student will be able to critically evaluate classic and modern leadership theories, concepts, techniques, strategies and the basic leadership features for successful teamwork and development.

  1. МB214 – Cultural Studies in Business

This unique module will offer a hybrid methodology in the investigation of the different exchange strategies throughout human history from the epistemological, anthropological and ontological point of view. Furthermore, it will trace the market development and its dissemination into the culture from the times of the project of the Enlightenment to the current position of the late capitalism.

  1. МB215 – Managerial Economics

The module will analyse the mainstream microeconomic theory – particularly, the demand, the cost, and the production theory and apply it to the decision-making process of the modern business company. It will enable students to apply the tools of higher mathematics to the solving of optimization problems and the tools of economic statistics to the estimation and forecasting of demand, cost, and production theory.

  1. МB216 – Tools for Effective Managers

The module will identify and describe different management and planning tools. It will also allow students to manage verbal information and various other data by using the different planning tools for the improvement of the work and solving of problems.
