University fair in Adana, Turkey

Euro College in the period from 11 to 16 January took participation in the International Education Fair "CUKUROVA EDUCATION 2011" in Adana, Turkey, together with many renowned foreign participants in the field of education. During the stay, the managerial team of Euro College successfully presented the institution and accomplished rich collaboration with other eminent high education institutions.

Another California Graduation Ceremony

Euro College students got their BBA and MBA degrees during another December graduation ceremony at AHUSC premises at San Bernardino.For the first time some Euro College student were awarded DBA degrees. At the same time our long time partner Dr. Radoje Radic from the International Management Education of Banja Luka received his Honoris Causa from AHUSC. As usual the group spend the rest of the trip visiting Malibu, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and other well-known LA sites. Euro College has won the prestigious award "Best Enterprise"

On the solemn ceremony of annual business awards organized by The European Business Assembly on 13th December in Vienna, Euro College has won the award Best Business Enterprise, and the Dean LJubisha Petrushevski was proclaimed Manager of the Year. The criteria for selection of the company are based on the activity on international level above all, influence in the community and achieved results during the year. Euro College once again has justified the trust of its students and companies it is collaborating with, and continues to promote the brand on global level.

Graduation ceremony, November 2010

Euro College has the honour to announce the graduation of the fourth generation of undergraduates.

On the 19th of November in the premises of the Culture and Youth Centre in Kumanovo, in front of parents and friends, representatives of the Municipality, the High Schools, the Ministry of Culture and Science of Republic of Macedonia and the business sector, the fourth generation of undergraduates had their degrees awarded.

The opening speech of the Dean took centre stage on the commencement of the ceremony. In his speech, Dr. Ljubisha Petrushevski, expressed gratitude to the parents, the Municipality, the Ministry, as well as his partners, academic staff and the employees for their support and assistance, which during the last seven years contributed towards the establishment of Euro College as a brand from the city of Kumanovo. According to the Dean, particularly successful for the College was the current year in which, through winning the Award for European Quality and the significance of the concluded international collaboration, Euro College was further promoted as a global brand.

The speech was followed by the ceremonious act of degree awarding, highlighted by the enthusiasm of the students who laboured tirelessly and did not seized to believe in their own potential. Let us wish them a bright future!

Euro College Received the Presigious European Quality Award

On 11th of October, Euro College became the first higher educational institution in Macedonia and among the few in the region to receive the European Quality Award. The event was organized by Europe Business Assembly as part of their Oxford Summit of Leaders. The highly esteemed award was received by the management of the college, Dr. Petrusevski Ljubisa and Mr. Cvetkovic Ranko, at the ceremony at the Oxford Town Hall. Present were also the laureates from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and other European, African and Asian countries. During the plenary session called "Higher Education in the context of Greater Europe", Dr. Petrusevski gave a presentation under the symbolic topic "Euro College and the Challenges of Global Education". Euro College expects to continue its good relation with EBA and also develop future cooperation with numerous individuals and institutions that were contacted during the summit.

Students from Tokyo at Euro College

By the end of August, Euro College had the honour to host the students of Gakushuin Women's College from Japan. The students, as part of their research in Eastern European culture, visited a number of cultural and historical sites in Macedonia, among which the birth place of Mother Theresa, the house of the Macedonian Parliament, the Japanese Consulate in Skopje, as well as various monuments and sites in Ohrid. In Kumanovo, the students of Euro College opened their homes to the students from Japan and accompanied them on a visit to the megalithic observatory Kokino.

Gakushuin Women's College has a long tradition as part of the Gakushuin University, which was founded in 1877 from the Emperor Komei, with the ambition to educate the youth of the Japanese aristocracy and imperial family.

EURO COLLEGE TOKYO

At last, a long awaited trip to Japan. This time Euro College was introduced to a vast number of university officials, government representatives, former diplomats and other friendly Japanese who showed their unrivaled generosity and warmth throughout a weekly stay at Tokyo. Visited were: Waseda University, Open University of Japan, NHK Studios and Japan Foreign Press Center. Other than that, the college met professors from Nihon University and J. F. Oberlin University. Of course, due to the unprecedented hospitality of the hosts, the college management got to know all the beautiful sights of Tokyo and enjoy the unforgettable feeling of Tokyo in springtime.

Euro College would like to thank Mr. Uda, Mr. Taniguchi, Mr. Tetsuya, Mr. Terada, Mr. Nakagawa and especially Mr. Matsumoto for their kind support during our stay in Japan. We can only hope to welcome them in the similar manner in Macedonia.

SECOND UNIVERSITY COLLOQUIUM AND THE BEIJING VISIT

Euro College took an active part again in the Second University Colloquium, held in Penang, from 20th to 23rd of March 2010. As always it was an excellent opportunity to meet partners and colleagues from around the world. Of specific importance for the college was the IDEAL meeting which dealt with further institutional establishment of the League and its auditing procedures. Akamai University and Euro College are the first institutions that will undergo the auditing process and will be subsequently accredited by IDEAL.

During closing ceremony at Equatorial Hotel, Penang, in the presence of the representative from the Malaysian Parliament, Euro College Principal was awarded EDS Exemplary Leadership Award for his contribution in the development of global educational network.

After the Colloquium, the college set for a trip to China to be hosted by representatives from Beijing University of Philology. The trip was also used to witness the fast growing potential of Beijing and to visit some of the numerous historical sites in and around the city.

Since January 2010, Euro College became an authorized center of the Institute of Commercial Management (www.icm.ac.uk), a leading professional examining and awarding body for business and management students. EURO COLLEGE STUDENTS RECEIVE THEIR AHUSC DEGREES IN CALIFORNIA

It certainly was a historic event. Never before a group of students from Balkans have their degrees officially awarded in America. Ten students from Bosnia, Serbia and Macedonia visited California in the first week of December. At an official Convocation in San Bernardino they had their degrees awarded by the top officials from AHUSC. During the same ceremony the Principal of Euro College, Ljubisa Petrusevski was awarded a Honoris Causa Doctor of Philosophy for his contribution in the development of the global education. After the ceremony Euro College students along with some other AHUSC graduates had an after party at one of the oldest restaurant in US, suitably located at the famous Route 66.

MEETING AT LONDON CITY COLLEGE PREMISES

The two Principals met at London. Nick Kyritsis and Ljubisa Petrusevski had a very warm meeting at the premises of London City College and Shiller International University on the south bank of Thames, quite near the famous London Eye. Both Principals stated the importance of continuing good relationship between the two institutions and its further enhancement. Euro College will continue assisting London City College in their plan to introduce their programs to some other universities in the Balkans and especially in Kosovo. LCC on the other hand will support Euro College establish links with some British accredited training institutions like the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) and work towards future EC affiliation with SIU.

Graduation ceremony, November 2009

On the 1st of November in the premises of the National Theatre in Kumanovo, Euro College together with its academic body and representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science had the honour to award degrees to the third generation of its graduates.

The ceremony started with the opening speech of the Dean, Dr. Ljubisha Petrushevski, who talked about the success of the graduates and Euro College as their academic platform for the past six years. The Dean also took some time to share the strategic projects of Euro College which will be realised in the future and which will enable the next generations of students a global approach and connection to academic environments of different countries, as well as other benefits which will shape their international profile.

After the ceremonious degree awarding, the crowd was entertained by two of the graduates, Elena Risteska and Lambe Alabakovski, popular Macedonian singers. The evening ended with a cocktail party, where the students and their families together with the professors shared their experiences following the successful conclusion of the studies.

EURO COLLEGE AT THE FIRST UNIVERSITY COLLOQUIUM IN MALAYSIA

During its third visit to Penang, Malaysia in 9 months the college took an active part in the work of the First International University Colloquium. It was a rare opportunity to meet with the high officials and establish new contacts with number of universities from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Bangladesh and Slovakia. The meeting was further used to officially sign a document for the formation of the IDEAL (International Distance Education Accreditation League), a respective body that will foster new perspective in global education. Euro College was one of the four founding members. The Principal of the college was also awarded a prestigious Exemplary Leadership Award for Achievement in Higher Education.

EURO COLLEGE IN INDIA

Euro College is spreading its network in Asia. India is by its size and potential very interesting site for the new international development scheme of the college. With the generous support of the Macedonian Embassy in New Delhi and Invest Macedonia India, the management of the college spent 10 productive days in early September in the capital of India. Institutional link with several major local universities was the main issue of the visit alongside the visit to the already established long term links with Recruitment Agencies from India. Of special interest was the neighboring Delhi Municipality of Gurgaon that apart from being an IT capital of India has an enormous capacity for education.

Program for Internship and Employment, May 2009

On 12th of May, in the premises of Euro College in Kumanovo, USAIDs' Program for Internship and Employment "My Carrier" was promoted in front of the students of Euro College and the business community from Kumanovo. After the promotion, representatives from the project and the Principal of Euro College, Dr. Ljubisha Petrushevski, signed an agreement for cooperation.

The program will overcome the gap between the demand and supply of qualified and talented individuals on the human resource market in Macedonia. The program offers to students a structured way of attaining working experience and an easier access to fields in the industry in which they want to continue after graduation.

USAIDs’ Project for competitiveness cooperates with the Ministry of Education of Republic of Macedonia and has plans to sign cooperation agreements with all the accredited educational institutions in the country.

EURO COLLEGE MANAGEMENT IN CALIFORNIA, February 2009

Representatives from the college have visited the campus of the American Heritage University in San Bernardino, California. They had very successful meetings and talks with the university official as regards the opening of the new AHU courses in Macedonia and the establishment of the stronger links between the two affiliate institutions. Since Euro College has plans of expansion in the Balkan region the institution has been authorized by the university to offer the AHU courses to other universities in the area and safeguard its implementation. During their stay in California, the representatives from Euro College used to opportunity to visit some of the landmarks of the neighboring city of Los Angeles.

EuroCollege is accredited and licensed from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Macedonia

On 26.02.2008 Euro College Kumanovo has officially been accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Macedonia. Consequentially, it was given a working license on 18.07.2008. The full name of the college from now on will be High-Educational Professional Institution for Business Studies EURO COLLEGE Kumanovo.


 

 

High-Educational Professional Institution for Business Studies EURO COLLEGE Kumanovo has awarded the first Macedonian undergraduate diplomas in Business Administration issued by this professional institution.
The event took place on 20 September 2008. The ceremony was opened by the famous Macedonian pop singer Elena Ristevska (student of this college) who performed the National Anthem of Republic of Macedonia. The numerous guests, parents and students were welcomed by the director of the institution and many officials.


Euro College is now accredited from the Board of Accreditation of the Republic of Macedonia

26.02.2008 - Euro College received an official decision for accreditation from the Board of Accreditation of the Republic of Macedonia. This decision has put an end of the 4 year long dispute about the status of the company within the Macedonian legal framework. This effectively means that not only Euro College will give a chance for local students to be awarded top-class British degrees, but will also have the authority to award its own state accredited degrees.


Kensinghton college of business becomes new academic partner of Euro College

For the new academic year Euro College has upgraded its academic offer to the students in all the Balkan centers by starting the collaboration with the Kensington College of Business. KCB is an official partner of the University of Glamorgan and as a renowned institution has been operating in the educational system of UK for the last 25 years. Several government and professional bodies like NFCE, ICSA, CIM and AIHEP have accredited the college.

The initial contact with KCB dates back to 2004 but the cooperation was finally formalized in the summer and early autumn of 2007. After finishing the KCB Higher Diploma level Euro College students will be given an excellent opportunity to obtain a top class British university degree. The change towards all-British qualifications is part of the original intention and strategy of the college since the start but not until the full partnership with KCB the college was able to achieve this objective


First british diplomas awarded at Euro College

"This is a historical moment by any standards. The Macedonian education will never be the same", those were the words of the Principal of EuroCollege, Mr. Petrusevski Ljubisa during the ceremony for the first generation of Euro College graduates. The event took place at the Youth Cultural Center in Kumanovo hosting some 300 students, parents and guests. The London City College Advance Diplomas in Business were awarded to 46 graduates by the President of the British Business Group, Mr. Ray Power. He stated that the effort of Euro College to bring the best of the British education goes in parallel with the endeavors of the Macedonian Government to offer to the foreign investors a qualified work force that is educated and understands how global economy operates.


Euro College stars performed at the Euro College party in Struga

The famous Macedonian music stars Kristina Arnaudova, a IIIrd year student, Elena Risteska and Lambe Alabakovski, both Ist year students at the college in Kumanovo performed live at the Euro College party in Struga. The event was organized in order to support the institution and the university programs of the partner college in Struga due to start its operations in the new premises at the beginning in October. Some 1000 people present at the party warmly welcomed and sang along all the popular songs by Kristina, Elena and Lambe.
